you'll never know until you apply really.
English isn't my first language but I got hired to teach in Russia this week. I think it depends on which country you want to teach in. for example, landing a job in China and Japan seemed impossible for me because they only accept native speakers.
However, I got accepted to teach in a couple European language schools but I believe they only hire EU citizens.
