Yes, beginning an ESL career with an undergrad university Bachelor degree is a positive start. For visa requirement entry to a foreign country, they do not specify the type of Bachelor degree required only that you have one in whatever field. Ideally, for your edification and career enhancement an undergrad degree in Linguistics would be well received plus a well recognized complemented with an ESL/EFL certificate, like the CELTA.

Again, aim for that Bachelor degree and perhaps along the way in your studies you may want to take a few optional courses in English and/or Linguistics to see how you like those subject areas and then concentrate on your strengths for ultimate success.
