Does it matter where one takes their CELTA?

Hi all,

I am specifically wondering if it matters to employers where one received their CELTA training. For instance, is a CELTA from Cambridge (UK) viewed more positively than a CELTA course in Lima (Peru)?

I am absolutely open to any other approaches to this question other than the one above. I've heard someone mention that they were glad to take their training in an English speaking country due to the added stress navigating a country where another language is spoken. So I'm really looking for any general feedback.

I am considering taking my CELTA in Bali, so that I can visit my fiancee a for a month beforehand in the Philippines. It would save me a great deal of money to do it this way. But I don't want to choose Bali if it will somehow reflect differently on me.

Any light you can shed on the matter would be most appreciated!

- Chris
