In Response To: Delta course (Scott)

I've been teaching for 3 years in Vietnam now and I'm ready to improve my teaching skills/qualifications
I've obtained both TEFL and CELTA certificates and I'm interested in doing a Delta soon
The problem is I have no degree. I want to know if I have 3-4years ESL experience with a Delta certificate would I be able to apply for a Masters in TESOL.
I've heard certain universities could exempt me because of relevant experience/teaching certificates
Have you ever heard of similar situations

There are UK universities that give variable Delta credit toward an MA TESOL. Do an Internet search using 'Delta credit for MA TESOL'.

Keep in mind, however, that you'll likely be limited as to where you can work with an MA but no BA. (There's a regular poster on the Cafe's jobs discussion forums who is running into this issue.) This has more to do with the number of years of formal education than anything. For example, someone with a BA and an MA has a total of at least 5-6 years' post-secondary education compared to those who only hold an MA, which equates to 1-2 years of study. So seriously consider universities that offer concurrent BA/MA programs.
