In Response To: Non-native certified experienced teacher. Choices? (Cris)

Does anyone know which are the best current job options for a non-native experienced certified teacher?

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Your question is too general; you don't provide information about your specific qualifications (experience, certifications, and academic credentials), nationality, and your teaching interests. That said, since most of the responders on this forum are native English speakers, we obviously have limited knowledge of where non-native speakers can legally teach.

In order to figure out your options, you first need to look at the visa/work permit requirements for the countries you want to work in to see if you're able to secure legal employment based on your nationality. Similarly, do an Internet search on 'non native english teacher [add country name]' and from there, look at job ads in those countries and simply apply for positions you're qualified for. Definitely include your TOEFL or IELTS score on your CV (score should be no more than six months old).

I suggest you also check out the Cafe's country-specific job discussion forums once you've researched where you can legally work.
