Why is it that some CELTA courses are so expensive and some are not so? For example, the best price I can find in Europe is £764, but 200km away in Vienna it is £1626. I thought that all CELTAs are the same, in that they have the same syllabus and the same standard of tutors. Or am I missing a trick somewhere?

It's unrealistic to make comparisons since costs of living vary from country to country, city to city. Plus the expenses required to operate a business can differ based on the center's location, number of staff (salaries), costs for utilities, facility services offered, advertisement/marketing budget, office supplies, etc.
