How to gauge legitimacy of programs?

I want a solid program that offers actual classroom experience, but the only local programs offering this are MA programs or certifications that require a 2-year commitment. I want a solid, useful education, but there are so many programs it's overwhelming.

Gauging legitimacy/prestige of universities is easy, but I'm completely lost when it comes to these private TEFL companies. I want something I can complete by August. Any advice?
