How to choose TESOL program

Hello,

I am considering applying for job in South Korea but one requirement is being a TESOL holder.

In TESOL a standardized education program? Is it internationaly recognized? Who is governing body for maintain TESOL standards? What is best way to choose the best TESOL course? How to choose between different TESOL programs?
