In Response To: Experience to teach in China? (Dan)

Hi.

China is a very bureaucratic place and being able to tick boxes to satisfy red tape is usually equally if not more important to suitability for a job.

That said, i'd keep applying directly to schools you want to work at, but beware, there is often a lot of exploitation of EFL teachers in China in particular if you are not attached to a reputable school.

I doubt 2 years experience is a must, there are many backpackers of all languages who are 'English' teachers working in China. However, like I said, if you want a 'proper' English teaching job stick with reputable schools.

Good luck.

Katrina
