In Response To: TESOL/CELTA Certification (Rob)

I'm looking to teach English in Busan, South Korea.

The public schools in Busan have strict requirements about TESOL certification. Namely, 100 hours total with 50 hours in-class.

Do they only accept accredited TESOL certifications? I'm looking at taking Global Tesol or Oxford Seminars. Both aren't accredited.

If either of those two won't suffice, should I go CELTA? Does South Korea accept CELTA certifications and would they put me above someone with a week-long/online TESOL certification?

If the requirements are that specific, go with the CELTA. It's recognized worldwide, which will open up more TEFL opportunities for you in other countries as well.
