Why do you want the ""premium union card", i.e. the CELTA certificate?

You do not state whether you are seeking a full time TESL/TEFL teaching position, or as a recently retired academic seeking a part-time English as a second language position.

If the latter is the case, you can obtain ESL/EFL teaching positions with your current TEFL/TESL certificate. Why sweat the "premium union card" when what academic credential you have will do in most foreign countries. Again, I presume you are not seeking a full time teaching position.

Browse Dave's International Job Board and you will see many teaching positions requiring just exactly what you have along with the higher academic credentials you possess.
