As all the other answers on this forum to very similar questions say (in perhaps more details);
different countries and schools have different levels of preference regarding what type of certificate you have. They range from nothing, to 'only a recognised CELTA-equivalent'. Your ability to do the job effectively and to open a few more doors/slightly higher pay arrangements will also vary according to the qualification.

If you are wanting to start classroom teaching in Vancouver, then double-check with the management there whether they really do have no preferences about the type of certification. Most schools belong to professional oversight bodies, that DO care....

Many will point out that just because you've been in a classroom before, does not mean you've been doing good things in there if untrained.
