In Response To: Drug Test Shanghai China (Bob Smilton)

I am wondering if the school's in Shanghai conduct a drug test? Or if there is a drug test by the Chinese government? I live in a US State where medical marijuana is legal and I have a medical marijuana card. I however know that most foreign governments (and schools) wouldn't care so I want to avoid a future possible headache!

If you plan on taking a drug test anytime soon for whatever reason, be aware it can take a month or more for THC to completely leave your body upon last usage.

But you're asking the wrong question. If you plan on continuing your therapeutic regimen of marijuana use, then you need to focus on finding a job in a country where cannibis is legal. Many countries---China included---have strict laws against drug consumption and use; penalities can be so severe that a headache ends up being the least of your concerns. Alternately, look into other viable and legal options for treating your condition, which would offer more choices as to where you can teach.
