That's a poor assessment. The Practicum is a very useful component, although few jobs require it. However, lesson planning is the most important skill that you gain in a TESOL course (on-site or online). That is why I initially chose Ontesol's 100-hour course over Oxford Seminars. I taught abroad for two years and then I upgraded to the 250-hour TESOL Diploma with Practicum.
