"I know this response is 6 years late, but I am interested in taking my family with me when I get a job as an ESL teacher. I am wondering the best countries for bringing a family when you teach. I see Japan is good for you, but does anyone else have any other suggestions.."

The answer mostly depends on your qualifications for the job. If you have really top-flight skills specifically in the TEFL field, and already have some experience, more employers worldwide will be willing to pay you enough to subsidize (at least partly) upkeep for children.
