CELTA isn't just branded, Nomad, it's also assessed. An independent Cambridge assessor visits each course to ensure the standards are maintained and grades given are correct. This is what separates it from other tefl certificates, not just the brand name.

Yes, I'm very much aware that it's assessed. It also shares the same objective/purpose as other similar entry-level teaching qualifications.

The OP can do his own reading on the specifics about the CELTA, which have been hashed and rehashed by me and others on this forum umteen times. I just didn't want to do that work for him; we get enough posters here who don't bother to do a bit of research on their own.
