In Response To: Teaching English in Korea (Jude)

There are many people of all skin colours teaching in Korea, though yes there are a 'solid number' of schools that prefer white faces to show off in publicity photos to potential parents, and who also see anyone with Korean features as 'not properly foreign'.
But there are also many schools that do not have that hang-up. In fact a few like 'Kyopos' as they scare young children less...

All you really need is a degree in something, and a passport from an English-speaking country...but if you were born somewhere non-English speaking then a degree from and English-speaking country will certainly help demonstrate your English competence, as will a TESOL cert (preferably a 'proper' one like CELTA or Trinty).
