For much of Asia you do not need much more than 'a degree in something'.
But TESOL training can certainly open a few more jobs and help you do them better.

There are many posts on this board about the differences between CELTA/Trinity CERT and other TESOL courses; they are not hard to find and read.

But it is quite likely that with Linguistics and TESOL embedded in your degree you will not need such a course, but could consider a TESOL Dip or MA if you later decide to make a full career of TESOL.

There is often a danger that uni-based courses do not include practical teaching experience (it is a practical job), so if yours does not, then I'd consider a CELTA or similar as well.
