In answering your query, my assumption is that you are using the Communicative Approach to language learning where your beginner students and intermediate students are exposed to practical everyday situations.

Extracting a grammar lesson form a communicative situational situation should not be very difficult.

For example, if you are teaching beginning language students how to ask for directions asking grammatically correct WH questions is a good start.
