In Response To: CELTA/TEFL in Germany (Charles)

I think you may get advice by visiting the forum where specific countries are discussed. From what I know (I did my PhD in Germany) Germans tend to hire EFL staff as independent operators and usually expect you to have a car and travel to company locations. The German education system seems to produce very good results in English so that may be the reason why there doesn't seem to be a large TEFL industry and there are very infrequent advertisements for TEFL jobs in Germany. I don't know how Germans view the CELTA. Good luck!
