In Response To: DELTA Module 3 - testing (Jennifer Lea)

Hi! I'm currently working on Module 3 of the Delta but I'm really stuck on how to design the needs analysis and diagnostic tests. We've been given a lot of information on what kinds of things to include/not include, but I haven't seen any example tests and don't seem to be able to find any.

Any help would be great!

Since this is an assignment for a course, why aren't you seeking assistance from your tutor/instructor? They're familiar with the specific assignment requirements and should be available to help with these types of questions.

Anyway, this is where having access to a university library system is key. But for now, there's iTESLj.org, an Internet TESL journal, as well as TESOL.org's read-and-publish (may require membership for access). Of course, there are books on language assessment; my university course used "Testing for language teachers" by A. Hughes, 2003.
