It is true that several countries (or rather, their schools and immigration officers) will allow teachers in with just 'a native English-speaking passport, and a Bachelor's degree in anything'.
But you can get better jobs and do the job better if you have some TEFL training, and that will also open up a few more countries.
Check adverts on tefl.co, and eslcafe.com for requirements.
