Your gut is correct.
EFL is necessarily unregulated to a very high degree - it is obviously a profession that spans most borders, and would be extremely difficult for any international body to actually 'accreditate' training courses.
The industry standard which will be accepted pretty much everywhere for entry-level positions is 120 hours on site, and including 6 hours of supervised teaching practice with real students.
