A full time TEFL teaching position with benefits for TEFL teachers with only a TEFL certificate as an academic credential and no direct teaching experience does not bode well for your intended goal.
Will a U. S. library hire you with only the said credential? Probably not. Again, having only a TEFL certificate and no direct second langauge teaching experience does not carry much academic weight in North America, generally.
A TEFL certificate will get you a teaching position abroad in some places (China, South Korea, Latin America) because the demand for such teachers is there, but that desperate demand is not there from where you are presently.
So job prospects are very slim stateside.
