TEFL and Tutoring in Malaysia

We're moving to Johor Bahru, Malaysia this summer when my husband takes up a position at an international school. I'm looking at ways to supplement our income and am thinking about teaching or tutoring English.
I'm aware of CELTA training and have seen many online TEFL certification programs. Obviously there is a wide range of possibilities. I wouldn't be able to enroll in any training until we relocate and I worry about online options that require face-to-face teaching practice to complete certification if it can't be done locally.
Any suggestions? Is there a demand for such tutoring? Earning potential? Anything else to think of? Thanks!
