The CELTA indeed generally does not count towards anything Postgraduate-related.
It is also aimed at beginners in the field and attempts in a month to get you safe to be left int he classroom with a coupe of teaching models to work with.
It is quite effective at that, though if you have teaching experience then you need to bite your tongue a bit and accept what they tell you; act humble.The other course I don't know much about; a key questions usually is whether it included supervised classroom teaching practice. Many MA TESOLs don't (but some do) and that can sometimes influence employability anywhere that isn't a University academic faculty.
Taking something that IS credit towards a larger thing is useful, but only if you really might do that later thing, and only if the first thing is actually useful in getting a job...
