Advice on certification school

Hey guys. I know this is a questions that has been asked a million times but I cant quite seem to find the answer I need. I was looking at getting a certification for teaching English overseas and I was looking at all the usual school (TEFL Institute, TEFL Worldwide, etc) And it has been brought to my attention that a community college near where my best mate lives offers a Teaching English as a Second Language Abroad (TESL-A) certificate. This is a certificate I have never heard of. Does the actual name of the certificate matter? Is it better to attend and actual TEFL or TESOL School? Thanks for you time.
