You may find work in Russia without a degree but in Indonesia it tends to be only the really low end schools which employ people without a degree. Bear this in mind.
There are other countries where a degree is not mandatory so do a search for these and you'll be fine.
As for the criminal records check many countries won't even ask for this and, as said, even if they do then it shouldn't show up as it's spent now.
