Without a university degree, the following countries may be problematic: UAE - Dubai; Vietnam, Korea, Japan.
These countries require a university degree for legitimate work visas such as teaching English.
Regarding "struggling with wages" without adequate academic credentials you will always be at the bottom rung of the wage scale and in some countries that may not be enough. Of course, the struggling wage may be sufficient for your living standards.
