No University Degree - no go?

My partner and I are considering taking a CELTA course then teaching overseas, we are looking at Dubai,Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Japan... pretty open minded, just somewhere we won't struggle with wages and have a reasonable life-style.
We have both already taught without official qualifications, my partner for over 10 years with excellent references, having worked in government departments and for large corporations, but recognise the importance of an internationally recognised qualification such as CELTA.
However, although I have a BA, my partner has not. Does this mean he has no chance at all in the countries I mention?
Grateful for any info.
