DELTA for ELT Materials Development?

Posted By: TEFL Journal <wynmiddleton@yahoo.com>

I'm an EFL/ESL Teacher. I have around ten years experience. I'd like to get into ELT materials development. I'm working on a portfolio, but I want to know if a DELTA would be helpful for my career prospects. I'm unsure about the actual value of a DELTA in terms of my own development (it seems like a lot of jumping through hoops), but would it impress publishers if I'm trying to get work in ELT materials? Any thoughts or experience?
