CELTA, any TEFL university or college certification course, whether on line or on site, will aid you in your quest.
Research the country you are interested in Central America and then contact educational institutions in the country.
When I taught in Nicaragua most teachers I worked with just happen to be passing through and ended up teaching a Semester or two at local TEFL school. Most did not have any TEFL certification at all.
You may just want to pick a country in Central America you really want to visit and try your luck in person.
You will be surprised how quickly a school will take you on as a teacher when you are physically on site ready to teach.
