TEFL Certification Programs

Hello,
I am currently looking into TEFL Certification programs, both online and in on-site, and I am having a difficult time knowing which program to go with. I inevitably would like to teach somewhere in Central America, but all of these different programs make it difficult to know what is legitimate and what is not. I am looking for any input on programs that you might have experience with, or how you were able to find placements in Central America. Thank you!
