MAs will get you better jobs and better paid jobs, though often in countries that like 'status' or in University faculties that can sometimes be more academic than practical.
There are a lot of language schools around that are concerned MATESOLs often do not include actual practical teacher training, and so leave teachers too 'high functioning' to be effective in the classroom (and I have seen examples of why they think this, from seeing academics try to do a full-time teaching job).
One way around this possible problem is to do a DELTA or Trinty DipTESOL; as they are recognised by a lot of universities as part-credit toward an MA TESOL. Then go on to the Uni, complete the MA, and you can argue if asked, that you DO have practical teacher training embedded within the MA.
