I quoted below directly from Dave's International Job Board a teaching position in Japan, the country you specifically are interested. At the end of the job specifications, it states the companies requirements: a university degree is required. A foreigner who wants to teach in Japan must have a university degree.
"Merry House English School
Teach conversational English to adults, teens, and children (including “Parent & Baby” classes), in both group and individual lessons at a friendly, family-oriented private school.
Teachers are expected to follow assigned curriculum and guidelines of the school, but are responsible for planning the details and delivery of their lessons independently and are encouraged to use their creativity in their teaching.
Term: 1-year contract (Renewable)
Starting: Late December 1st, 2012
Salary: 270,000 yen /month, 5000 yen /month for health insurance costs
Requirements: University degree and TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification."If your heart is set to teach in Asia, you may want to consider China or South Korea.
More and more countries are requesting foreign teachers to have appropriate and suitable academic degrees to enter the country and to teach.
