Absolutely, yes, an EFL/ESL teacher with a credible MA degree has many more doors to choose from. Particularly, in the Middle East, most reputable EFL employers ask teaching applicants for a post graduate degree.
You need only look at Dave's International Job Board for evidence. Also, most reputable schools pay more for post graduate degrees.
If the serious schools you are thinking of continuing your teaching career exist in the USA, Canada, Australia, an MA is a critical academic requisite.
Australian universities, too many to list here, are well known in the TEFL world as offering very credible, interesting, and student specific post graduate on line degrees. The degrees can be very general as an MA, or more academically rigorous such as a Masters degree specializing in Linguistics.
You will need to virtually visit the university of your choosing for more detailed information.
I complemented my TEFL education with a M. Ed. (TESOL) degree, on line, from an Australian university and am very pleased with what it offered for my specific and particular teaching circumstances. It was also very cost efficient.
