In Response To: TEFL Methods of Teaching (Donna)

Task-Based is gaining popularity, but there needs to be a lot of buy-in from the students and an understanding of what is going on; often that is not possible with lower levels.

The Communicative approach remains popular, and even with students who have ‘old-school’ experience, they can be shown the benefits.

But if you do a well-though-of qualification like a CELTA of a Trinity CertTESOL, you’ll learn about there. Trinity gives a few more options, CELTA leans more towards, ‘here is a model of teaching, use it, you’ll be ok to start the job’.
