In Response To: teaching jobs in south america or europe (Robert Canada)

"Looking for work in either south america or europe. I currently am doing private tutoring at a refugee center. Please email me with serious replies (I can smell a scam from a mile away so don't even try)."

Oh, we'd love to have you in Western Europe, particularly as we have no clue as to your qualifications:-)

Google: Schengen zone.

With a Canadian passport, you are legally limited to Central/Eastern Europe. Central European jobs are not normally found from abroad - there are lots of teachers here on the ground ready to interview in person, so most reputable employers don't need to take a chance on anyone sight-unseen. Start-up costs (on the teachers' side) for this region include flight and first two/three months living.

Most teachers for this region have BA+CELTA or equivalent, so anything less will put you at a further disadvantage on the job market.

I strongly suggest you move over to Dave's Job Discussion forum, where you'll find lots and lots of relevant information for North Americans seeking work in Europe.

I'll eat my hat if you get any offers - or even if anyone bothers to follow up in any way - from this kind of posting; you've misunderstood the purpose of the forum, and no-one will be interested based on the bone-bare info you've offered here.
