In Response To: Making the move CHINA (Luke)

Okay so I need some info... My girlfriend and I have decided that we really want to teach english abroad. China was our first thought since I have some friends that have gone and really loved it. Anyway, I already have my degree and she will graduate in december. We are looking to make the move right after that. My questions are should we get our TESL cert. or not. We both would like to be in the same school and in shanghai, beijing, or hong kong. Any advice on how to get started and the best way to go about our search would be awesome! By the way she is an english major and I am a psychology major with a year of experience working with children. Thanks guys!!!

Be aware that getting a teaching gig as a couple can be tricky. You'll get useful responses to your questions about teaching and TEFL certificates if you post in the Hong Kong and China jobs discussion forums on this site.
