Jenny.
What is a PGSE? You mention it a few times in your post. Has it got anything to do with education? I got the following from Google:
PGSE Pulsed-Gradient Spin-Echo (imaging)
PGSE Peculiar Ground Support Equipment
PGSE Pennsylvania Governor's School of Excellence (Milton, PA)
PGSE Payload Ground-Support Equipment
PGSE Portable Ground Support Equipment
PGSE Programming Graph Simulation EnvironmentIs the list missing something to do with education?
If you meant to refer to PGCE - Post Graduate Certificate in Education, it is obvious that you've either been succesfully brainwashed by the CELTA programme or you're ignorant.
A PGCE is a post-graduate course with much more than the paltry 6 hours teaching practice that you get on a CELTA course. Do you really believe that the CELTA course, a 4 week intensive course that admits 18 year olds that have finished secondary education, is superior to a (usually one year) post-graduate university taught course that only admits people with a full degree?
If you do, the CELTA machine is doing a good job brainwashing it's students. I re-read what you wrote and I still can't believe it!
