There's two things to consider when asking yourself whether a CELTA is useful when looking to teach in Korea:
1) The best jobs go to the best qualified teachers (this is simple logic)
2) If you like students, you'll want to give them the best lessons you can (and will therefore need training), if you don't care what teaching you provide, you shouldn't be teaching (in Korea or elsewhere).At the end of the day, you might get a job and visa to teach in Korea with a BA in Sociology, but the bare minimum isn't always the best way forward.
